Step 1: In-Home Design Consultation (Complimentary)

This first step is all about getting to know each other and seeing the room to be redesigned.

We meet at your home, take measurements, and discuss your vision for the space. Our objective is to better understand your needs and wants so we can pair them with our product options. This service is always offered free of charge, with no obligation.

The initial consultation is an excellent opportunity to share pictures of renovations you love and discuss appliances, countertops, and layout. What do you love about your current kitchen? What do you need to change?

We work hard to understand how you use the space, so please budget about an hour for this first meeting.

After the initial meeting, we build the room(s) we measured into our design software. We work through several design possibilities to develop two to four options, typically.

Where we place the appliances, how we size the island, where we add storage, etc., are informed by years of industry experience and client feedback. As soon as we have finished designs to show, we invite you into the showroom to see computer-generated images of the ideas.

The high-definition pictures you’ll view allow you to understand the design and see all angles in full color and shadowing. They are critical to understanding what you are ordering and will show you very nearly what your kitchen may look like.

Step 3: Design, Budget. And Cabinet Options

After the showroom consultation, we take time to crunch numbers. We offer many cabinet options at different price points. Once we have a final design, we can price the different cabinet lines to match your budget.

We frequently offer “Good-Better-Best” options to show you pricing for three different cabinet lines and how to upgrade or save costs. We accept cabinet-only projects (installed by someone else) or can arrange construction, if required, to implement your new design.

If your project scope requires a contractor, we can provide one and add the construction proposal to our contract so everything is in one place.

Step 4: Final Proposal and Contract

Many of our clients want the elegance and function of built-in cabinets in more rooms than the kitchen. For them, we design and install cabinets and built-in shelving for libraries, master-suite closets, bathrooms and spas, fireplace mantels, basement bars, utility and mud rooms, and outdoor kitchens and barbecue areas.

The order process is careful and precise, so nothing is missed. Contracts are signed, start and end dates agreed to, and you’ll put down a deposit. We’ll make copies of everything you sign, and you’ll leave with copies of all.

You’re finally moving ahead with your dream kitchen remodeling (or bathroom remodeling)!

Step 5: Oversee and Coordinate Delivery and Installation

Most cabinets are delivered six to eight weeks after they are ordered — but some arrive in as little as two weeks, and a few may take as long as 12 weeks. We oversee the schedule and make it work for your time frame.

Our Kitchen Traditions temperature-controlled warehouse is available for storage if needed, and we provide white-glove, in-home delivery. Whether we are installing your new cabinets or someone else is, we are always available for questions or assistance.

The final contract you’ll receive includes numbered, clear installation plans and a numbered order sheet to help make the installation smooth and easy. Before you know it, you’ve moved back into a beautiful new space and wondering why you hadn’t done it years sooner.
